Old Maps; 2016

This video piece was part of an interactive installation that was first installed in 2016 at the UICA in Grand Rapids, MI. The full installation featured a “diy” pedestal, a rug, a folding chain, and head phones. Before the participant sat in the chair a default projection read, “please sit down, look carefully” after sitting down the video started to play. This piece brakes down constructed spaces and reveals that, in ways, we are always living in someone else’s “head”.
